The Birth Hour

πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

This image from a surrogate birth yesterday that my amazingly talented friend @lifesaspectrum captured brings on so much emotion! Grab tissues when you read her caption y’all! ❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭 ・・・ Against all odds ~ After more than two years and thru surrogacy, multiple rounds of IVF , breech positioning (that was successfully flipped), and a scramble to change birth plan due to COVID-19, baby Luca was born safe and sound yesterday morning at his surrogates home and caught by his mom at long last. I’ve been quiet on here for a little while getting myself mentally, physically and emotionally ready to document this incredible birth during this unprecedented time. It was incredibly emotional to be around other people for the first time in weeks (all in masks and thoroughly sanitized) and for such a monumental occasion. Throughout this tragedy that is COVID-19, I have kept afloat emotionally knowing that #lifegoeson but to witness life emerging in real time, amidst such worldwide heartache- I’m forever changed. ~ Now, more than ever I am inspired by the power of humanity and the perseverance of love. Thank you, thank you to @mirelleleguia and your beautiful surrogate C and your families for inviting me into this year of your lives and for showing me what true sacrifice and dedication to family looks like.

Parenting & Baby Cheats

We know this feeling! We are here to help you relax through those last few weeks of pregnancy 🀰🏽

Eviction notice. ⚠️ I am getting so anxious to get her out of me, and I know other mamas feel the same way this late in pregnancy! Home methods to induce labor like walking are safe. Just stay away from castor oil and working out way too hard! Do you mamas have any other safe tricks to induce labor that worked for you?

Hi Everyone! As the founder of Birthing Tree I want to come to you to let you know where we stand as a whole within the Birthing Tree Community. We all see and hear the news of an “altered life” that we are being told to live. This means different things for everyone. We have so many people still working, we have some families who are not leaving home at all, we have some families making hard choices of where their children will go while they are still working with schools being out. The options for families seem endless right now yet we seem to be stuck in place all at the same time. One thing we are seeing within our community, and specifically within the ladies of our village; there is an outpouring of love. We are coming together for ideas for our families, for our children, and specifically for us. We are having girl chats via Skype rooms and sharing stories of what we are all experiencing, what we miss, and how we are embracing this. One thing our country has seen in the last several years is a strong division. Division never serves anyone. Division only conquers us and the goals that our ancestors worked so hard to stop. We must rise together and be one for the good of us all. We must make sure that our sisters down the road have what they need so that we may also have that returned to us when we are in need. If there is one thing, we strive for at Birthing Tree it is for there to be no division. If you are in our community near or far and you need an accountability partner we will find you one, if you are in our community and you need a sister to check on you we can find that sister that will nurture your soul. We are a place of connection. A place of healing. A place of devotion to our fellow sisters. A place of contentment but not complacency. Allow us to move in your life so that we may all be fulfilled with overflowing cups even during a time of discourse in our lives. There is no reason for anyone to be alone whether in heart or in mind during this chaos. Choose happy, choose life, and choose to reach out when you know your heart strings are withered. We will be there to toss you new string, new hope, and so much love! If you want to be a part of our sisters helping sisters, please send us a PM with your specific needs or your offer to be a listener and friend. Be blessed! Holly and The Birthing Tree Tribe
