Virtual Doula Services for the Digital Age Birthing Tree has offered virtual services for years for our service men and women abroad as well as other needs of families in our communities. This time we have rolled out new packages and new options based on the COVID-19 we are currently facing. Each day hospitals across the globe are changing their visitor and/or support person policy. Some hospitals have considered going to 1 person only which is the laboring mother. This is cruel and inhuman to allow a woman who is already in a vulnerable state to be alone during her time of need. Although virtual our doulas are not physically present we are trained to be your virtual companion. We will provided evidence based care for you and your newborn through this time of uncertainty. Please share and check out our available options! https://birthingtree.net/virtual-doula-service

CAITLIN ARCHER Hey, I’m Caitlin! I’m a mama of two beautiful children and a devoted wife to my husband, Jason, since 2011. I graduated from Fortis in 2013 with my Associates Degree in Nursing and went on to finish my Bachelor’s Degree at Kaplan University in 2016. During nursing school, I was fortunate to witness many beautiful babies come earth-side which led to my passion for Maternal Health. After my son was born in a very “traditional” and lackluster hospital setting, I became more aware of my options. I educated myself on more natural and holistic ways to experience pregnancy and labor. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I hired Holly Heller as my doula. My birth experience the second time around was uplifting, empowering, and overall amazing. I realized that receiving support during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was essential as I transitioned into motherhood. My hope, as your birth doula, is to be a source of support that strengthens and empowers you to be brave and at peace during childbirth. I will be there to remind you that you are strong and capable. You’ve got this, mama! I am unbiased and respect all families and all births. I am committed to helping you achieve a personalized and blissful experience for you, your family, and your beautiful new life. ❤️❤️ • • • #pensacoladoula #doula #worlddoulaweek

HOLLY HELLER As founder of Birthing Tree it’s important for you to know me as much as I will know you so that we can work together in a harmonious environment. Learning a small amount now and A LOT as we grow together starts here. My path to becoming a doula has taken many twist and turns. After the birth of my first daughter I realized my passion for lactation support. My sweet girl would not nurse, take a bottle, and barely would take breast milk from a syringe. It was a lactation consultant that helped me get her feeding where it should be and what thrust me into the birth world. My second pregnancy was a curveball! I was on bed rest from 17 weeks to 37 weeks! Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. My daughter and I both needed a babysitter while my husband was at work. It was after my second pregnancy with many ups and downs that I decided being doula was where I needed to be in life. I wanted to help mothers know all of the options that maybe they were not learning about from their doctor. Better outcomes for YOUR pregnancy, YOUR delivery, and YOUR postpartum. In realizing my dream to become a doula my family was right behind me and supported me all the way. In 2012 I started my doula certification process and was certified with Childbirth International. I was eager to share with moms the knowledge I had learned. I wanted to educate moms on all the vast options that I never knew existed. I wanted them to know that they had support emotionally, spiritually, and physically that they could count on. Soon after I added my postpartum doula certification so that the healing process could also be a smoother transition not just for mom but for the WHOLE family. A doula for the whole family? Yes; I wanted to be postpartum doula too. I knew that I wanted to help families transition from pregnancy to parenthood. Allow your bodies to heal and give yourself time to bond with baby and family. I am beyond excited for the families that I have served and made lasting friendships with and I am honored for those that will choose me to be on their birth team in the future. My goal is to assist you in the ways that you feel best supports your family. At Birthing Tree our desire is to take the most holistic, whole body approach to pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and beyond that we can with all your wishes at heart’s center.

Nourished Beginnings

If you need a in-home lactation consultation, make sure you check out our friends over at Nourished Beginnings! Jenna will come to you and help you with your breastfeeding journey!

What happens at an In-Home Lactation Consult? 👶You stay in your pj's and I come to you! 👶A medical history and labor and delivery details are discussed as well as your breastfeeding goals. 👶An assessment is done on baby's mouth and suck. I check for a coordinate suck and look for any tongue or lip ties. 👶A pre-feed weight is done on baby. 👶You are able to breastfeed in your comfy chair or couch and I assess baby's latch and positioning. 👶If we need to make changes to latch, we work on this until you are comfortable and pain free! 👶I stay for an entire feeding, then a post-feed weight is taken on baby. I am able to see exactly how much baby eats and share the results with you! 👶After assessing how baby feeds, I discuss what needs to happen to meet your breastfeeding goals and schedule a follow-up appointment if needed. You are able to call/text/email as needed for information and reassurance. 🤱If breastfeeding isn't going the way you imagined it, don't wait! Call today to schedule your in-home lactation visit! 🤱Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United, Anthem (all PPO) may qualify for no fee consultations!

Holly with Birthing Tree lifted an unbearable weight off our shoulders. My wife and I had so much anxiety prior to delivery we were so overwhelmed. We spoke with Holly on Friday and that Sunday my wife went into labor early. Holly was right there explaining everything, offering choices that made my wife more comfortable that the doctor and nurses did not. She is an absolute advocate for the mother while the delivery staff seemed more transactional- we do this every day stop overreacting Im trying to make it through my shift- sort of feeling. She guided my wife through the delivery with peaceful, calming words and massages that made it possible to deliver medication free which was my wifes Plan A. After our son was born, she delivered us a care package which included items to help recovery, offered to watch the baby while we get some much needed sleep, and has been in constant contact even 6 weeks after delivery. Thank you so much for your help Holly. If youre on the fence about using a Doula, I absolutely encourage you to have a conversation with Holly

I was pleasantly surprised by all the services offered by The Birthing Tree. As a first time Mom, I wasnt sure if I needed all of the services or just a few. Holly worked with me to determine what I needed and what fit into my budget. She was patient with all of my questions before and after the birth. The placenta encapsulation was a service I definitely wanted to try to avoid postpartum depression. Holly gave me specific instructions about what to do with the placenta at the hospital, she picked it up within an hour and a half after birth and delivered the capsules, tincture and salve 48 hours later with instructions on how to use each. I highly recommend The Birthing Tree and all of their services

My experience with Birthing Tree was top notch from start to finish. From the very beginning of my pregnancy Holly worked diligently with me to make sure I had all the supplements and nutrition advice to maintain a healthy pregnancy. This was very important for me to have this guidance as I'm a full time workingtraveling mom. The support the team gave throughout the pregnancy eliminated unnecessary stress especially as it pertained to uncovering and understanding thingsissu'' es that would arise at doctors visits. It gave me peace of mind and also helped me to strategize when necessary for upcoming doctors visits and staying on track with my all natural delivery desires. I planned for an all natural labor and delivery which was the main reason I opted for doula support from the start. Things turned at the end and I had to be induced which lead to the decision to use the epidural and have my water broken, not the natural way I planned. I was heartbroken but Holly and the Birthing Tree team really came through for me during a very challenging labor and delivery. There is no way I could've persevered if i didn't have the support the Birthing Tree team provided. My doctor even commented that the only reason I avoided C-Section was because of the support I had with my doula team. With all this said, no matter what your pregnancydelivery wishes may be, the Birthing Tree team can help you stay on track and have a wonderful Birthing experience no matter what curve balls may or may not be thrown your way during the process. I'm so thankful and blessed to have these ladies to have been a part of my journey.

I am SO thankful we included Holly into our birthing team, from the moment I met her I had a sense of peace She is a wealth of knowledge, incredibly understanding and very loving. My husband at first was skeptical on hiring a doula but he knew it was something I wanted to do and never opposed it. The day we came home from the hospital he began bragging to family and friends about how he would recommend hiring Holly to anyone and everyone Holly checked in with me all th'' e time. She made sure that I knew I was cared for and about before labor day even came around. She supported my choices and knew my goals. We chose to have an unmedicated hospital birth and she helped myself and my husband to accomplish that goal When your tough guy husband tells you that the laboring process and the birth felt like a dream and we both felt like we couldn't have done it without Holly you KNOW she is a great choice She also encapsulated my placenta and made the most beautiful keep sake, who would have thought I would be showing off my placenta print to family and friends Thank you Holly The Thorn family loves you so much
