I thought we would be meeting with many doulas before hiring, but that was not necessary, we knew right away when we met Holly from Birthing Tree, that she was the "missing link". She brought a sense of calmness and wisdom from experience that empowered us to bring our child into the world in the way that we wanted. She believes in a woman's ability to know her own body and baby, I felt safe and taken care threw out my pregnancy and even after. After my pregnancy, she helped me with breastfeeding. I struggled a lot and wanted to give up many times, but she was right by my side encouraging me, and teaching me the proper way to get my daughter latched on.
